Man i was so nervous going into the driving test. But come to find out it was only like 5 minutes long. Drove around the block, parallel parked, and came back. Today went to play basketball with some friends, so that is the first place i went with my liscense. Can any of you remember the first place you went when you got your lescense? Or can you remember taking your driving test? Just want to see how different the driving tests are for you all and me.

I had to take a drivers ed course almost three years ago during the summer. With that, I had to drive 50 hours with my dad in order to get my license then I had to take the drivers test at AAA. Thank God I didn't have to do any parallel parking.

I had to do the craziest parking tests. They had me driving around the parking lot in reverse for like 10 minutes, LOL. Had to do the parralel thang a couple times. And then had to get on the interstate, the guy kept saying switch lanes, switch lanes, to the left, no to the right, left, right. Stupid ass.

To add on:

I had a hard time adjusting to a certain method of putting my hands on the steering wheel. When making turns, I had to do that method and I also had to do it for the test. I felt like I wanted to quit because I was used to do it my way. Heh, and to this day, I'm using the method that my drivers ed course taught us.

I got mine last Friday. I just had to file the paperwork at the DMV.

Driving test... hell.. I don't even remember mine... I remember not even having to parallel park

Can any of you remember the first place you went when you got your lescense?

First place I went was to a liquor store.







Seriously, I remember my test somewhat. I took mine at a big licensing station in a western suburb and they have this big ****ed up course that you have to go where they tell you. Mine was perfect other than at one corner, I got 12 points taken off in the matter of about 5 seconds.

Coming down one street, he told me to take a left at the next street. The street I was on had only a Yield sign and I came to a complete stop before making my left handed turn (-6 pts), the left hand turn was onto a 1 way street (going left of course) and I pulled into the 3rd lane of 4 available treating it as a 4 lane, 2 way road, (-6 more points)

Other than that, I got everything perfect. Parallel parking is so easy. I never figured out why people freeze when it comes to doing it. Then again, most people don't ever get to learn the dimensions of the vehicle they are driving in, so they have no clue how much room they have (or don't have) to manuver with.
