Rangers 8-12 weeks needed for Moreland

Mitch Moreland's recovery from right wrist surgery is expected to last between eight and 12 weeks.
Moreland underwent the procedure on Wednesday afternoon. If he's able to avoid setbacks, the 26-year-old first baseman should have no trouble getting ready for Opening Day. But any complications could derail that optimism. Moreland batted .259/.320/.414 with 16 home runs and 51 RBI in 134 games this past year for the Rangers.
This could soften their stance that they don't need a Fielder or Pujols.

Ooh, they should deal for Quentin and make him or Cruz a 1B to reduce some if the wear and tear. Quentin would mash like a mofo at Arlington.
