Having taken two of out 3 games in the series in Arlington, the Rangers need just 1 win in the Houston series to stay in the running for the Silver Boot. They got that one win in the series opener thanks to a solid performance from C.J. Wilson backed by a trio of homeruns from Hamilton, Moreland, and Kinsler. Ian was the big guy offensively going 2 for 3 with the homer and a triple driving in 3 runs and walking twice. The Rangers won 7-3.

The Rangers locked down the Silver Boot with a 3-2 win in game two. Colby Lewis pitched a solid game giving up 2 runs and striking out 6 in 6 2/3 innings for his 7th win of the year. Ian Kinsler was the big guy on offense again, this time adding his 10th and 11th homeruns of the season. It is the 5th straight season the Rangers have won the Silver Boot, the annual prize for the winner of the Texas rivalry.
