C.J. Wilson will start for the Rangers on Opening Day.
Rangers manager Ron Washington made the easy announcement Tuesday in spring camp. Wilson, 30, finished with a healthy 15-8 record, 3.35 ERA and 1.25 WHIP across 33 starts last season and will again be a top fantasy option in 2011. The Rangers open at home against the Red Sox on April 1.
This was an easy choice for the Rangers as Wilson really came along last year and I think Cliff Lee really helped Wilson. The Rangers should have a solid rotation if Webb can come back but I'm not expecting too much from him. With their high powered offense, their pitching should be good enough to try and repeat as AL West champs.
