Rangers Frank Francicso has been terrible.

He has been so terrible that he deserves to have his name spelled "Frank Francicso." We haven't even finished the first week of the season yet, and he has 2 blown saves, 1 loss and a 27 ERA. How long until Feliz takes over?

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP)—The Texas Rangers will go with 21-year-old right-hander Neftali Feliz as their temporary closer in place of struggling Frank Francisco.

Francisco (1-2) has blown saves in his two opportunites this season, both leading to Rangers losses, and has a 27.00 ERA in three appearances.

Feliz, whose fastball is regularly clocked in the high 90s, has been the eighth-inning setup man, striking out five in 2 1-3 innings over three games.

“He’s our closer until I get Frankie back there,” Rangers manager Ron Washington said before Sunday’s series finale against Seattle. “Frankie will be the closer of the Texas Rangers. We’re just giving him a chance to get himself together.”

Francisco has improved since being moved to a setup role. He hasn't been lights out, but he has picked up a fair amount of holds and have consistently lowered his ERA for the most part over his last 10 appearances.
