Rangers Rangers make a play for Vlad Guerrero

The $7 million dollar offer has been doubted, but would you offer that to Vlad? His defense has fallen off the map and his legs are not what they once were, but he did post a .844 OPS after the ASG with a near .500 SLG%, so there is some power left in the well.

Colleague Enrique Rojas (@enrore) reports Texas offered Vlad 1 yr, $7m deal. He says it's not certain whether Vlad would accept

He has to DH. I mean, ok if you want to live with no range and the inevitable stints on the disabled list, put him in RF. Otherwise, DH.

But if he's going to field, for the sake of amusing a baseball fan, also sign Jim Thome. I don't care if these guys are old, they'll mash in Arlington. And have a heatstroke in the middle of August. Who doesn't want to see all of this?

He's old and broken down. This is terrible.

I think some of the little ones here at the Preschool I work at have more speed than him.

I like the thought of him at the DH. I think he will still hit. Hopefully he can stay healthy and off the defensive side of things. I am cool with the Rangers thinking about him. But why not Jermaine Dye?

Vlad smacking a few homers off Anaheim pitchers in Arlington is a bigger F-U to the Angels?

    Everybody loves Vlad.
From the days in Blue, Blanc and Rouge, to the no gloves swing away at just about everything, and still hit it a tonne player that we have come to know and love, everybody loves Vlad.

P.S. The Middle isn't that good, so Patricia whats her face may be avaliable for this series.

Ok, maybe I was wrong in thinking they weren't looking at him too.
