If these pictures are from the "saved" period of Hamilton's life, the public persona he puts on just seems like a huge sham. But beyond that of course, the real victims are his wife and kid of course, especially if she wasn't aware of any shenanigans (if you would call whip cream and barflys shenanigans.)

After provocative pictures surfaced on Saturday morning, Josh Hamilton admitted that he suffered a lapse in his sobriety in January.
"I'm embarrassed about it. For the Rangers, I'm embarrassed about it. For my wife, my kids," Hamilton said. "It's one of those things that just reinforces about alcohol. Unfortunately, it happened. It just reinforces to me that if I'm out there getting ready for a season and taking my focus off the most important thing in my recovery, which is my relationship with Christ, it's amazing how those things creep back in." No disciplinary action will be taken by the Rangers, who were told about the incident the day after it happened.

Born-again christians almost always come across as fake to me. You see everyone with a sketchy past being born again... pornstars, drug addicts, hookers, movie stars who screwed hookers while addicted to drugs, dudes serving life-long sentences in prison.. etc.

If you really love Christ like I do, you're not born again, you're born with him.
