Eck. 3 million isn't bad for a year, but 12.5 is proposterus. Feel sorry for whoever ends up with this headcase.

With the season he is having I can see it being reasonable to demand a high salary.... for just next season. But two years at his age is just crazy to expect he can perform similar to what he has this year for two more seasons (one is too much of a risk IMO at the level of price he is seeking.)

NO WAY that is happening. NO WAY!

Torre had no use for him and Kenny did not fit well with the Yankees. Yankees fans hate him. The NY media hated him and that included his time with the Mets.

Isn't Cooperstein a New Yorker? I know Cooperstein is a frequent guest on WFAN when it comes talking sports in the Metroplex.

It'd be fair to pay him a lot for one year, just not for the two he is asking.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Before this week I wouldn't have minded a one year deal, but there was no way Rogers would take it.

You're right - he's a native NYer. According to his bio he did a 16 month stunt in Philly before moving back to Dallas/Ft-Worth. I just assumed he was from there since he used to always talk about them.
