Rangers Is Young on his way Out?

The Rangers have, apparently, asked Michael Young to move again, this time to 3B. This move would open a spot for Elvis Andrus at SS.
Young appears to be reluctant to make this move. Here is a story:

Young has a nasty contract. If the Rangers move him, given the economic state of baseball we're led to believe from the FA signings, I can't imagine it would be for much. Although if they did move him and paid a portion of his large deal, it might give them the financial flexibility edge to sign Sheets as Ryan appears determined to do.

I would like to see the Giants get involved but only if Young returned to second base. Its hard to see any team being able to pick up his contract.

Re: Is Young on his way Out?

MLB.com reports that Michael Young has agreed to play third base this season and is no longer requesting a trade from the Rangers.
Quite a turnaround compared to his stance on the issue just a few days ago. Young moving to third base clears shortstop for prospect Elvis Andrus, although he's not a sure thing to begin this year in the majors anyway.
I guess Young realized the Rangers could not move him and that he liked the friendly confines in Arlington.

Good decision, IMO. It would have been nice to check with him before announcing the move to the world, however.
He is still not really sold on the idea, however, from what this story says: All-Star SS Michael Young will accept Rangers' plan to switch him to third base

Nope, he's just a tin man who will DH and play first.
