David Murphy is expected to be out at least 2-4 weeks with a strained posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee after a collision with former Rangers legend Pudge Rodriguez in last night's loss to the Yankees.

Murphy will head to the DL sporting a .275 average, some nice power numbers with 28 doubles and 15 homeruns, and 74 RBI. He is also tied for 2nd on the team in stolen bases with 7.

Murphy's likely replacement will be Brandon Boggs, who is having a fairly decent rookie campaign in his own right.

The loss of Murphy definately hurts, but if the Rangers have proven one thing this year it's that they still find ways to win when key players go down with injury.
