Josh Hamilton started in the outfield and went 1 for 3 striking out once in the first all-star appearance of his career.

Milton Bradley also started at DH and went 0 for 2 with a walk before being replaced by Evan Longoria.

Ian Kinsler came into the game as a pinch runner, and ended up replacing Dustin Pedroia who went 0 for 1. Kinsler stayed at 2nd base for the majority of the game going 1 for 5 with a strikeout and stranding 4 men on base.

Michael Young is the Ranger who made the biggest impact on the All-Star Game. After replacing Derek Jeter, Young went 1 for 4 and struck out twice but drove in the winning run with a sac fly in the 15th to give th AL a 4-3 win.

Bradley, Kinsler, and Hamilton each stole a base as well.

Overall, considering the lack of offense, I think it was a fairly respectable showing for the Ranger representatives. It was the first all-star appearances for Hamilton, Bradley, and Kinsler. This was also Michael Young's 5th straight all-star game, although he has only played in four. Young is now 3 for 9 with a double, a triple, and 3 RBI in his all-star game career with one ASG MVP to his credit as well.
