Rangers designated RHP Ryan Drese for assignment
Quite a fall for Drese, who was signed to a two-year deal in the offseason and received the Opening Day nod over Kenny Rogers. He's off the roster because of a 6.46 ERA and a 1.72 WHIP in 12 starts. Because he's guararanteed another $2 million from the Rangers, he'll clear waivers. Ricardo Rodriguez almost certainly will be called up to replace him in the rotation.

i picked him up in a fantasy league this year in a later round, what a dissapointment. is he hurt?

Drese really only has one pitch, a sinker and so far this year it's been failing him. His K ratio has been just downright awful and he's also known as a hot-head, considering he had an incident in the dugout a while back Buck figured it's time to send this guy packing.

Drese only started listening last year when management gave him an ultimatium, learn the sinker or he'll be on the FA market. This year it's Chan Ho, so you may not want to add him to your team next year.
