    Rangers Jayson Werth Who?

Hamilton is having a great evening tonight himself. He is only 5-5 with 2 HR's (10 for the year) and 5 RBI's (49 for the year).

hhhhhhhhmmmmm...... I bet Cincinnati would have kept him around now.

    Great night Mr. Hamilton!!!!

They got Edinson Volquez, who is also having a sensational season.

Maybe they should have dealt Adam Dumb for Edinson Volquez.

Unfortunately, the collective reds fanbase would have rioted for 10 full minutes at the thought of their mega star being dealt for pitching.

Hey, this was one of very few trades where both teams come out way ahead.

I mean, it's not very often that trades are this even. Neither team can complain the slightest bit about this deal.

Except for the ones who blame Baker for everything

Isnt that a fans job, to blame their team's manager. I do it with Yost. I am ok with that most of the time. I try to give props to Yost when I can, but it just does NOT happen very often.

The difference is that Baker gets the Tracy McGrady treatment. Everything, all the way down to the fans getting the wrong kind of beer, is his fault

    Re: Jayson Werth Who?

As awesome as Volquez has been for the Reds it could be easy to say the Rangers shouldn't have traded him, but where would the Rangers be right now without Hamilton?

I definately have to agree with shorty that both teams have benefited greatly from this trade. One team gets a guy putting up Cy Young caliber numbers, the other gets MVP caliber numbers.

    How is this for a season stat line (his current 162 game pace): 204 for 648, 49-2B, 11-3B, 38 HR, 98 Runs, 185 RBI, 64 BB, 90 K, .314 BA, .367 OBP, .599 SLG

I also just noticed that Hamilton and I share a birthday, although he still has a couple of years on me.

Hamilton is huge for the Rangers. They would be offensively enemic without him since they don't have Texeira anylonger. Like everyone else has said this trade seems to have helped both clubs.
