Rangers' McCarthy leaves with sore forearm

Brandon McCarthy was limited to one inning in his start Friday after his sore forearm flared up on him.
McCarthy said he felt pain in the area after throwing a curveball. As many arm problems as he's had over the last year, it'd be no surprise to see him face major surgery at some point. At the very least, his status for his first regular-season start is now in serious jeopardy. Robinson Tejeda, Jamey Wright and Luis Mendoza would be some of the possibilities to fill in for him.
