    Kinsler Out

Rangers placed second baseman Ian Kinsler on the 15-day disabled list with a stress fracture in his left foot.
An MRI confirmed the injury. The Rangers say Kinsler will miss at least three weeks. A six- to eight-week absence is a real possibility, depending on how the fracture heals. The Rangers will go with Ramon Vazquez at second and Travis Metcalf at third for now, with Jerry Hairston Jr. serving as a backup at both positions.
This definitely hurts their playoff chances. This kid had an unbelievable start, cooled down but started getting hot again before his injury. He shows a lot of promise but needs to tighten the screws on defense. I look forward to seeing him in a Rangers uniform for a long time.

Reagrdless of the Rangers not going very far this season this is still a huge blow to the teams offense. He was starting to heat it up before the break of his foot. And he was also on my fantasy team(ggod thing I have Kelly Johnson to back him up)

That's funny I thought it was the horrible pitching and injuries to Teixeira, Blalock and others that really hurt their playoff chances. Although they have been pitching better lately.

Anyway, definately a big blow to the Ranger offense. I'll be pulling for the 3 week absence, although a stress fracture doesn't sound like something that would heal very quick.
