I'm really looking forward to this series. None of the Johns are pitching which is always a positive. There is potential for a Ranger sweep!

None of the John's are even on the MLB team right now. Rheinecker is in the minors, Wasdin was released, and Koronka was optioned to make room for Volquez.

    RANGERS WIN RANGERS WIN RANGERS!!!

Eaton pitched pretty much a perfect game excluding the two solo HR's. The bats showed up again getting 14 hits and 0 dingers which is somewhat suprising.

    8/10 Game Recap
The Rangers have the first step of a sweep out of the way in an 8-2 win over the Mariners in a game highlighted by solid pitching and timely hitting. In just his 3rd start as a Ranger Adam Eaton allowing just 2 runs on 4 hits and did not walk a batter over 6 innings for the win. Both runs allowed were on solo homeruns to Adam Jones and Ben Broussard.

Gary Matthews Jr. walked twice and scored twice.
Michael Young had the biggest blow with a bases clearing, 3-run double, his league leading 40th double of the season.
Carlos Lee raised his Ranger batting average to .344 after going 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored.
Mark Teixeira hit his 35th double of the year and also drove in 3 runs.
DeRosa, Kinsler, and Barajas all had multi-hit games and Barajas also scored 2 runs.

This was the Rangers 2nd straight winning pulling them back to .500 for the season and they are now 5 games behind Oakland in the race for the West.

Great would be nice, but I would settle for another 1 run outing.
