    Royals @ Rangers (July 28th-30th)

    Projected Matchups
Game 1: Luke Hudson vs. Vicente Padilla
Game 2: Jorge De La Rosa vs. Kevin Millwood
Game 3: Mark Redman vs. Adam Eaton

    Game 1 Matchup Notes
Hudson: In 3 starts since joining the Royals rotation Hudson has gone 1-0 and allowed 7 runs on 15 hits over 17.2 innings. This will be his first appearance against the Rangers this year.

Padilla: He has easily been the Rangers ace lately going 4-1 with an incredible 2.02 ERA over his last 5 starts with opponents batting just .189 against him over that span. He is 6-2 with a 3.80 ERA at home this year. This will be his first start of the year against the Royals.

    Game 2 Matchup Notes
De La Rosa: Jorge will be making his Royals debut after being acquired from the Brewers. He is similar to Hudson in that he was moved from the bullpen into the rotation and has made on 3 starts this year. Unlike Hudson however, De La Rosa has been hit hard in his 3 starts. He has gone 0-2 and allowed 16 runs on 18 hits overs 11.2 innings.

Millwood: Kevin has been bombed at home this year going 3-5 with a 6.24 ERA, but is 2-1 with a 2.84 ERA overall since the all-star break and has pitched well against the Royals in his career, 3-1, 2.39 ERA in 4 starts. In his only other start against the Royals this year he gave up 2 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings for the win.

    Game 3 Matchup Notes
Redman: He has gone 7-1 over his last 10 starts and posting a solid 4.05 ERA. He did not pitch well in his last outing, against the Royals however. He allowed 4 runs on 12 hits over 7 innings but still managed to get the win. This is Redman's first start of the year against the Rangers

Eaton: This will be Adam's 2nd start of the season. I his Ranger debut against the Yankees he no-hit them over 3.2 innings before losing his control walking 3 and hitting a batter. He finished with 4 walks, 4 strikeouts, 2 hit batters, and just 1 hit allowed in 3.2 innings.

If we don't sweep or take 2 of 3 here, we are jokes. Bad jokes.

Agreed, but the way things have gone lately I wouldn't be surprised.
One bit of good news though. There is no way Texas will get a 5 game losing streak today.

Padilla has been awesome lately and is the staff ace. He is nowhere near horrible, but he was tonight. Only good thing about this game is Carlos Lee is 2 for 2 in his Rangers debut. They are both singles though.

I am just going to say Carlos Lee went 2 for 4 in his Ranger debut and Nelson Cruz struck out in a pinch hit AB in his Ranger debut, and leave it at that.
