The Royals got 2 more in the 6th to take a 4-2 lead and Nelson Cruz got his first hit as a Ranger. I'll leave it at that and recap the rest of the game in the morning.

Anyone else getting really irritated with the Rangers lately?
13 hits against the Royals and they only managed to get 3 runs. Matthews, Lee, Teixeira, and Laird all had multi-hit games while Lee and Teixeira's were 3 hit games. Laird and DeRosa hit back-to-back homeruns in the 2nd but that was almost all of the run scoring offense for Texas. Millwood through 3 no-hit innings but had major control problems walking 5 in 5.1 innings with 43 of his 100 pitches being balls.

In other news, Carlos Lee has made an immediate impact on the offense. Although he has not homered or driven in a run, he has gone 5 for 8 with a double and a walk in his first 2 games with Texas. Not having driven in a run cannot be blamed on him though as runners on just not getting on base in front of him.

Oh yeah. The Royals won 5-3.

Swept at home no less. Won't happen though. Little leaguer Redman is pitching today and that means Cruz, Tex, and Lee all hit homers.

Three homeruns isn't that much better than the 2 they hit last night, and lost. Redman has actually pitched lately though. The way the first 2 games have gone I'm not expecting too much.

It looks like the Rangers are going to be able to avoid a sweep by the Royals. It's the top of the 4th innings and Texas is up 6-1. Michael Young is 2 for 2 with his 9th homerun of the year. Ian Kinsler hit a 2-run homerun for his 8th of the year. Gerald Laird has also gone 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored, and Carlos Lee is 1 for 2 with a run scored.

John Koronka has pitched alright so far allowing 1 run on 4 hits striking out 3 in 3 innings of work.

Most definately. The guy is batting .424 in July. It's only 33 AB's but that's still pretty good. And the new guy, C.Lee, is something like 6 for 10 since becoming a Ranger.

Well, we squeezed it out and hung on to win 15-2. Looks like we'll be needing Tejada eh?
