He has that because of the offense. In another forum I think someone posted that he had one of the top 10 run support.

He doesn't need run support to win on the road. Seven of his wins are on the road with a 2.96 ERA. He just gets bombed in Arlington, which a lot of pitchers do, and got bombed again today. I would love to see what kind of ERA he would have if the Rangers had a pitcher's park.

And the Rangers drop game one 6-2. It's not like they didn't have their chances either. Both teams had 10 hits each but the Rangers could not capitalize when they had runners in scoring position. The only time they did was Teixeira supposed-to-be RBI double when he was tagged out after oversliding 2nd base. Matthews, Young, Teixeira, and DeRosa all contributed with multi-hit games, including Young's league leading 34th double of the year. Errors by Teixeira and DeRosa did not help the cause either.

Hopefully Eaton can get Texas back on track tonight in his Ranger debut.

My prediction was wrong, but meh, Millwood is crap. I've given up on rooting for him or even expecting anything more than I would out of Koronka. Go Eaton.

    Wow how about Eaton?

Out of all the games this year I dont have this on my Dish for some reason and thats weird because I've had every other game on. Hows Eaton looking? his stat line is nice after 3.

Tex is 2 for 2, Really swinging the bat well now.

Eaton looked very good the first 3.2 innings. I think all he allowed was a walk an HBP to A-Rod, who was erased trying to steal 2nd. After getting 2 quick outs in the 4th his control absolutely fell apart though. He walked something like 3 guys and hit another, then gave up a 2-run single and Buck pulled him. Despite only 1 hit allowed and striking out 4 batters it's a rather disappointing stat line for Eaton. 3.2 IP - 1 H - 3 R - 3 ER - 4 BB - 4 K - 2 HBP

The Rangers trail 3-2 right now in the 5th.

So much for the Rangers 1.66 bullpen ERA since the all-star break. The Yankees are now up 6-2.

More than just consecutive walks. Back-to-back walks, then he hit Guiel, then another walk to score a run.

Anyway, Rod Barajas goes deap to make it 6-3 Yankees.

    Final score: Yankees-7 Rangers-4
Rod Barajas was the offensive star for Texas going 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored and his 9th homerun of the year. Joaquin Benoit struck out 4 Yankees in 2.1 innings of perfect relief.

The Rangers are now 1 game out of first place, but it's the Angels who are in first place now.

The Rangers got dug into an early hole in tonights game. The Yankees scored 2 runs on 4 hits in the 1st off John Rheinecker. Texas just came back in the 2nd to tie the game at 2 though thanks to a walk to Texeira, a single by Blalock, and a 2-run double by Kevin Mench.

Thought I'd mention that the double by Mench to drive in 2 was the 50,000th hit in Ranger history.
