No opinion on that trade. I don't follow the Rangers minor league clubs much. All I know is that Sinisi is usually fairly decent in OOTP leagues. lol
Anyway, Rangers off to a good start against the Redsox with a 4-0 lead. Blalock has hit his 7th homerun and driven in 2.
-
From what I read Sinisi has been a major league disappointment. He was their first pick of the 2003 draft (a 2nd round pick) that was projected to be a 1st round pick, but Boras is/was his agent and that dropped him. He was also supposed to be some offensive force to be reckoned with. I think he missed last year with some sort of surgery and just hasn't met any of the expectation the Rangers had for him :dunno:
-
I guess losing him is no big deal then. heh
Texas gets a 6-0 win over the Redsox in a game called in the bottom of the 6th due to rain. Kameron Low gets a 5 inning complete game shutout.
-
Yesterday's game was rained out and I bet today's will be, too...it's been raining nonstop here the last week.
-
Millwood is pitching vs. the Yankees tonight. He's pitching on an extra day's rest and trying to lower that ERA of 5.13.
-
Millwood earned some of that cheddar last night with a solid game to move up by 2 games over the A's.
-
wild and crazy game last night...watch out, the A's are on your heals! ;)
-
I've been gone all week and just got back so it's time to get caught up.
Millwood pitched a great game against the Yankees, in Yankee stadium no less, allowing just 2 runs on 5 hits in 7 innings for the win. Wilkerson hit his 5th homerun of the year in that game.
Then in yesterday's game, Otsuka got his first blown save of the season in a 14-13 loss. Texas was up 13-12 in the 9th and Jorge Posada hit a game winning 2-run shot off Otsuka. Teixeira, Nevin, and Blalock were a combined 10 for 14 with 2-2b, 1 HR, 5 Runs, 7 RBI against Yankee pitching.
Texas still has a 1 game lead in the AL West though.

Hey Molina are you excited about the Rangers/Astros series? I'd imagine that most Texans and fans of those team would be.
-
I'm looking forward to the Rangers claiming the silver boot again. Not so much looking forward to the Tejeda/Oswalt matchup tonight though. lol
I was lucky enough to attend one of the Lonestar series games last year in Arlington. The Rangers won something like 18-3. Can't remember exactly though.
-
Round 1 goes to Houston and now Texas is in 2nd place where they belong ;)
-
well, that didn't last long
Thanks Andy Pettitte!
-
Buchholtz sure got the job done against Texas today. Something like a 4 or 5 hit shutout. What I really can't believe is the Rangers went down 3 outs on 3 pitches in the 9th. I really expected more of a fight. Koronka was fairly solid though, until the homerun he gave up to Ensberg.
-
well, the A's are losing so we'll still be tied then.
