    Stairs now a Tiger
The Rangers traded for Matt Stairs in preparation for their playoff run, but once they fell out of contention stairs lost his playing time to Nelson Cruz. He has just been claimed off waivers by the Detroit Tigers.

In his brief time in Texas, Stairs hit .210 with 3 homeruns and 11 RBI in 81 AB's as a Ranger.

I would like to see Joe Girardi replace Buck.

uuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm... I think you better hope more on that. He will probably end up in Chicago with the Cubs... I would rather see him in Texas too... Anywhere but the Yankees or Cubs!

I wouldn't mind Girardi either, but I don't expect that will happen.
Early reports indicate that bench coach Don Wakamatsu is the leading candidate for the manager's job. He is the one who replaced Buck when he was hospitalized earlier in the season and when he was suspended for the Padilla beanball incident.
