Rays activated 3B Evan Longoria from the 60-day disabled list.
After going 5-for-25 (.200) with seven walks over eight rehab games with Triple-A Durham, Longoria is finally ready to play in a major league game for the first time since April 30. His hamstring isn't quite 100 percent, so he'll be used as the designated hitter, but he should still provide quite a lift to the Rays
I picked Longoria to be the MVP and the Rays have definitely missed this game changer. If he can progressively he healthier, the Rays can definitely make a run at the AL East title. They sit seven games out as of now.
