Andrus chops one over the mounds, Zobrist trying to avoid the runner and boots it.
Hamilton chops back to the mound a race for the bag and Price wins, runners advance.
Young grounds out to short.

On to the 7th. Rays lead 1-0.

Beltre slices a base hit into left.
Napoli batting, Beltre takes second on the WP. Nap belts it high and deep to left center, Jennings back....looks up..it's gone! 2 run homer for Napoli.

Rangers take the lead 2-2.

Cruz grounds out to third.
Moreland grounds toward first base, with the shift on, Brignac comes over to throw to Kotch for the out.
Gentry chops a single up the middle.

Now pitching Brandon Gomes.

Kinsler batting, Gentry takes second with no throw. Kinsler walks.
Andrus batting a double steal with no throw made..........what the hell!
Andrus walks to load the bases.

Now pitching JP Howell.

Hamilton hits line drive into right, Gentry comes to the plate, Kinsler scores, Andrus stops at third.

Now pitching Juan Cruz.

Young batting, Hamilton heads for second, Andrus gets caught off third, in a rundown Jaso tags him to finally end the inning.

Time to stretch, Rangers lead 4-1.

Matty J pops out to the catcher.
JD grounds to first past the diving Morelasnd, Kinsler up with it but no throw to Oliver, Damon reaches.
Zorilla lines a single up the middle.
Kotch belts a liner into left. Bases are loaded, one out.

Now pitching Alexi Ogando.

Sean Rodriguez ph for John Jaso, he pops up high into the left field foul territory and Andrus just barely has a glove on it but can't hold on to it. SRod grounds out to first, toss to Ogando for the out, Damon crosses the plate.

Sam Fuld ph for Reid Brignac, grounds out to second.

Rays get one back, down 4-2.

Cripes how I hate outside announcers........the balls are not going by or near or in the catwalks, they are going as high as the catwalks............BIG DIFFERENCE you TBS shit heads!!!

Longo batting, Upton caught stealing, perfect tag by Kinsler.

Now pitching Mike Gonzalez.

JD Ks swinging.

Now pitching Neftali Feliz.

Zorilla batting, both runners move up on a WP. Zo Ks swinging.

On to the 9th, Rangers lead 4-3.

Shop battled but grounds into a 5-4-3 double play.

The Rangers take Game 3 4-3 and lead the series 2-1. Game 4 tomorrow at the Trop at 2pm EST.

Game 4 Today’s Match-ups

Matt Harrison pitched 2/3 of an inning in relief in Game 1. In his last start, in the regular-season finale, he gave up one run in six innings as the Rangers clinched home-field advantage. He is 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA in his career vs. the Rays.

Jeremy Hellickson got a no-decision against the Yankees in his final outing of the season when he allowed 3 earned runs in 6 innings. He is 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in his only start against the Rangers this season. He is 6-5 at Tropicana Field in 2011.

This is an elimination game for the Rays, they have been the come back team all year they will need to muster up some more magic to remain alive .

I am heading down to the Trop to root for my team to continue the impossible dream or bid them farewell until next season.

Awesome run by the Rays, just didn't quite have enough come back left. Those long balls did us in, Beltre got all the good pitches since they wanted to avoid Hammer and Young and their pitchers shut down the heart of the Rays order.

I had a great time, proud of the fans that showed up despite being such an early start on a work/school day, they were loud and cheered to the very end.

I'll post some pix in a bit, good luck to the remaining teams, we'll be back next year.
