    2010 ALDS-Rangers VS Rays

    Probables

    Lee VS Price
    Wilson VS Shields
    Lewis VS Garza
    Hunter VS Davis (if needed)

A possibility if it goes to 5 Lee and Price could match up again in the final.

A lot of head scratching going on with the decision to go with Shields over Niemann. Maddon has sited postseason experience and that Shields has pitched better (not by much) at the Trop than on the road.

I haven’t seen a roster listed, they have until 10 am tomorrow. Word is Longoria is fine and according to a news report quoting Hellboy’s Dad, he is not on the roster for the ALDS. He is to dress and travel in case of injury and could still be placed on the roster if the team advances.

Though the Rays have a winning record against every AL team except the Royalpainintheass, the Rangers that were swept in August at the Trop didn’t have Cruz or Kinsler in the line-up, both are healthy and back along with Hamilton.

YES….the Trop is sold out for the Game 1 and 2.

First game pitching match-up should be a classic.

A Molina has to do something surprising every postseason. It's a unwritten rule somewhere.

This does not bode well. Lee was on and only Zobrist could get to him. Price just didn't have the usual composure.

David Price was not very good at all and Cliff Lee was the major difference. Lee was back to his usual post season dominance.

If we ever needed Big Game James to step up it is NOW! They already roughed up the ace, we lose both home games it is very doubtful they can get to the Rangers in Arlington, we don't have a good history there. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a major player or pitcher meltdown in Texas.

Z, pretty much the sentiment here, too.

    Re: 2010 ALDS-Rangers VS Rays

Dioner Navarro left the team after being told that he was not going to be a part of the Rays' ALDS roster.
That's a real team player. The Rays wanted him to remain with the team and keep working out so he'd be in shape in the event of an injury, however Navarro declined. He was likely to be non-tendered this winter, anyway, but his career in Tampa Bay is effectively over. Nevin Ashley has joined the team and would replace John Jaso or Kelly Shoppach on the roster if there is a sudden injury.
If you know you're going to be looking for a job next year, is this the appropriate way to act? What an asshole!

CJ Wilson has some nasty stuff and could give the Tampa Bay hitters fits in this game just as Cliff Lee did in game one. This game is make or break for the Rays.
