Haren won his last outing on Sunday shutting out the M’s for 7 innings and giving up just 3 hits with 6 Ks.

Davis appears to be getting back on track since coming off the DL , has a 7 game win streak since July 3rd, Rays have won 8 of his last 10 starts.

After sweeping the Mariners last weekend, the Angels lost 2 of 3 to the Tribe. The Rays have won their last two series including the big match up against the Yankees to take a slight lead, hopefully they can hold onto it.

On Wed. Soriano tied the franchise record for saves in a season with Roberto Hernandez, so it is just a matter of when he will become the Rays best closer.

One strange thing about Friday games for the Rays this year the record is 6-17.


With the off day yesterday Price was moved up to Sat. in order for him to make an appearance in NY next week.

Davis was a bit shakey giving up 7 hits in 6, Angels were up 3-1 until the 6th when the Rays scored 2 to tie it 3-3. Top of the 7th, Balfour pitching, 2 quick outs and Abreu gets a double.
