Do you think Jaso will see more playing time than Shoppach did, given Navarro's slow start?

Jaso only has like a handful of starts at the bigs so I think he is just filler until Kelly returns, he might get a start this weekend but I think the majority will go to Navy.

Shoppach will be out 4-6 weeks after having arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Too bad he’s missing the fun, but Jaso so far is handling the back up duties quite well.

While it’s not an injury, Aybar was out part of this week on Paternity leave. Supposedly will return to the team for the Jays series.

Matt Joyce has been advised to rest his strained elbow so he will rehab in St Pete instead of Triple A-Durham.

JP Howell suffered a set back today during a simulated game, the Rays have shut him down and he will be evaluated possibly as soon as tomorrow. Looks like he won't be back anytime soon.

Upton tweaked his ankle in the first inning, might be out a couple days, I might be the only person that thinks this is somewhat of a positive thing.

I was hoping to see more of Zobrist in CF to replace Upton for a couple games and he is ou with back stiffness.......and the Yankees are coming! AAAAARGH!!!

Grant Balfour to the DL with an with intercostal strain.

Pena has soreness in the right foot and is day to day. Zobrist will hopefully be back by Tuesday. Neither is expected to be in the game Monday night.

Rays put Andy Sonnanstine on the disabled list with a left hamstring strain. Pena will sit out another game.
