MIDDAY TRADE CONFIDENTIAL, JULY 28 - Hardball

Rays supposedly are looking to move Kazmir, Carlos Pena, and even in the right deal, Carl Crawford. In return, they want salary cap space to bring in V-Mart, who I suppose would replace the weak hitting (this year) Dioner Navarro. Rumors say the Rays have spoken to the Indians, Rangers, and Mets, maybe other teams, I'm not sure.

In a fantasy world(from a Mets fans POV), the Mets, Indians and Red Sox pull off a 3 team trade where the Rays get V-Mart, the Mets get Kazmir and Crawford and the Indians get a boatload of Rays and Mets prospects. The Rays would get V-Mart, the Indians get a bunch of prospects(say 3 or 4 from the Mets, 1 or 2 from the Rays), and the Mets get an extra solid SP, and either a 1B or LF(preferably Crawford, because he fits better in Citi Field) to solidify their lineup too. It'd be perfect...but I'm sure one of the other teams would quickly find a problem with that deal...
