I hope not, since Perez and BJ are out, and if one of our starters get hurt, you have Kapler and Gross, but I think we should call up Ruggs and send down Kapler/Gross late in the season.

Joyce was optioned down to make room for Upton. I would love to see him stay up and Gross sent down after being thrown out going from third to home on a ball hit in the OF.

Detroit still got the better end of the trade. It's clear Jeff Niemann is an inadequate stopgap to David Price, not to mention Kazmir and Sonnanstine haven't pitched well as expected.

Matt Joyce doubled three times and drove in six runs for Triple-A Durham on Wednesday.
Joyce should be seeing singificant time in right field for the Rays right now. He's hitting .322/.406/.524 with five steals in six attempts for Durham.

Joyce was finally called up yesterday and went 2-3 with a HR while playing CF. He should be up for the rest of the year if the Rays know what's best for them.
