Gomes to be ready for Spring Training?

Jonny Gomes had successful surgery on his shoulder Tuesday.
He is expected to be ready for spring training.

Will this injury, along with a great OF, force Gomes into limited time?

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

I hope he's ready, but even if he isn't, the D'Rays are just fine there. They have enough depth in their outfield to handle his absence.

Jonny Gomes said his shoulder is feeling better since surgery six weeks ago and that he's already lost 15 pounds since shutting it down for the season.
"Shoulder's coming along," Gomes said. "I've been doing a lot of range-of-motion stuff and exercises. Just the nagging little small weights and range of motion. A lot of shoulder work. I work from about 8:30 in the morning to 12:30 [in the afternoon] five days a week. It's real good, a lot of one-on-one attention." Gomes, who said he isn't ready to be a full-time DH, intends to play next season at 235 pounds after beefing up to 250 pounds this year. He hopes to see some time at first base, though that isn't something he's discussed with the Rays yet.
Crawford, Baldelli and Young in the OF and Gomes at first along with Upton and Cantu makes a damn good team. Why won't they get pitching?
