Kazmir back with a nice start

Scott Kazmir tossed five scoreless innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Tigers.
His best outing in three weeks, though it wasn't a long one. Kazmir needed 98 pitches to get through five, so manager Joe Maddon didn't send him back out for the sixth

His first good start in a while, and good to see Maddon take him out before any of the hitters really got to him, unlike earlier.

Imagine what their rotation could be if they traded Huff when he was good and if they trade Crawford this year!

Scott Kazmir improved to 9-4 by limiting the Diamondbacks to one run and three hits in 7 2/3 innings on Thursday.
Johnny Estrada broke up the shutout with a solo homer in the eighth. Kazmir, who threw 119 pitches, wasn't going to be allowed to work the ninth anyway. Shawn Camp and Brian Meadows went on to finish the three-hitter. The Rays are now 8-1 against the National League this season. The Diamondbacks have lost 15 of 17 to fall below .500.
This guy is an All Star!!

I wouldn't say this is his first good start in a while; he's done well in a few rght before this. The problem was he wasn't being efficient and wasn't lasting very long. Nice to see the efficiency return.
