2013 Minnesota Doormats I mean Twins

2013 Minnesota Twins will Field a team. How good of a team really depends on who steps it up from the guys I am now waiting on for the 3rd yr.

    Lineup:
1 Morales DH did well in this hole getting on, should see the runs go up with some real power behind him.

2 Anderson CF/LF Led the team with RBIs with 82, hopefully we wont see a repeat of that with the changes behind him

3 Weeks 2b This spot would have been Parkers, but I thought Parker was more of a #2 hitter than an RBI guy, so I got the guy who has 227 RBIs the past two years.

4 Collum C The gem of the offseason acquisitions brings a bat that this lineup has needed since Scott Rolen left. I wanted to try and get him out from behind the plate squating 140 times a game but couldnt get anyone else.

5 Krynzel RF/CF One of the bigger FA signings which freed up a move to improve the O in the infield. Could be a very important cog in any run.

6 Rehkop 3b- The experiment worked well last year, now hes just got to clean up the messes left by the heart of the lineup. Broadway may end up here but for now I want to see what Broadways got to give.

7 Broadway 1b- Dont really know what to expect out of him, but hes here for 1 reason only... Keep 1b warm for Kotter.

8 Fermin SS- Out there for his range. Hopefully he can cover enough to get the outs he can and not make the big mistake on d.

9 Jimenez/Acuna RF/LF- They will platoon and no im not playing Acuna just because he makes an uholy amount of money this year . Jimenez is strong against RHP and Acuna is the better offer vs LHP. This spot could become moot if Morabito mashes ST and improve to where I am comfortable with him everyday.

    Bench:
C Hernandez- There just because I need another C. Wont see much action.
2b Lubin- Started well for me last year, but just isnt the offensive force I need. Will be used as a double switch candidate, pinch runner type utility role.
OF Piniella- Can Play LF well enough if needed. Good Speed and ability on the basepaths.
OF Jimenez/Acuna- Probably first off the bench regardless of whos pitching.
1b Jason Hart- Just bench guy, who I hope will do well enough just to get on base when called upon.

Rotation I havent decided who will pitch when but it likely will consist of the same rotation minus Snyder that I ran from the deadline til the last week of the season Degroat, Loewen, Freierbend, Young/Merkin being the only change.

Pen- Still a mess but I will probably just go with a "Committee" closer until someone steps up. Everything is up for debate.

Key Guys that could change this:
Alex Morabito- Could probably play in the majors right now, but I want him to work on his Vs LHP stuff some more and develop patience before I give him the reigns of CF.
Milo Kotter- Would make me have a very big decision to make about 1b.
Harry Avila- If he comes up might take over somewhere.
Ramon Dapena- Would be in the rotation
Any of the 30+ guys. Again toward the end I signed 3-5 guys who are up there in age if I can get some production out of them it would be awesome.

Feel Free to Comment on my team and what the league expects.

should finish 3rd or 4th in the division, given your power hitters come though

79 wins for you, Sly. But you'll contend for a while.

Hey, after he stole Weeks for Tyree "Career Platooner" Burns, HE should hammer right into the White Sox and Injuns. Especially if Collum plays more like his ratings, and not...Gollum.

Weeks owns, no need to be modest Slyder. You just have to resign him...

I think you have a legit shot at the division, your offense has a lot of pieces and potential to combat that rotation of bwitty's. I don't think the pitching depth is there for you, yet, and I hope Valdez isn't apart of the pen (actually, I hope so, then that's an easy couple of runs!).

    Do it! Do it!
My yet to be announced 9th hitter could use a free hit or two.

2011 was a decent year for Hastings, except for the lacking OBP. But no, I don't have one picked out yet.
