The type of blatant tanking that BBall is carrying out is, at the very least, shameful. And very disappointing, because it puts a lot of AL teams at a disadvantage (Central teams play Detroit more, get more wins, etc.)

Shameful is the nicest term I would use.... Personally I call it just like some chickenshit puss trying to edit entries for their own benefit.... Or no different than throwing games to get paid off in some way.... I call it dishonorable, and with being a veteran, honor is probably the biggest thing you can have...
BBall... quit the shit... nobody is saying not to rebuild... but what you are doing is flat out bullshit and about as bad as trading all you talent to your buddy to build a super team (which is why we had the trade council)... because of this kind of action, it may be time to think about the council or a new council acting on an action such as this blatant tanking.. a punitive rule involving picks or ensuring a playable lineup/rotation/pen for blatant tankjobs like this... . we've put in reasonable lineups for 'abandoned' teams in the past, there should be a reasonable lineup for this tankjob too
I have tried to avoid commenting as this topic seems to come up once in a while. If prospects, or even 26-27 year olds, have not reached their full potiential, even by one digit, there is argument that the player will fully develop better in AAA. This is NOT tanking although some might find it borderline....
If you have starters in MLB who are over 26 and they are LESS TALENTED than 26+ year olds in your minor leagues and/or the FA pool, then you are a dishonorable OOTP GM and I second General's comment above.
I would vote for sanctions by the Commissioner in the form of lost draft pick/s.
This is supposed to be fun and an escape from the daily grind of life for those of us who love the game of baseball. Nobody likes people who cheat at cards and other table games. It ruins the fun.
Brewerball, grab another beer, say your sorry for making the game not fun... put your best non-prospect players in the MLB positions and lets get past this.
OM is just happy that this took attention away from his free agent class. Hehe.
Well there you go, New York is dominant again.
I think tanking just doesn't work. At best, it nets you a couple of prospects, and nukes your fan base.
The case is indeed that there are ones with higher ratings in AAA and some are even making major league money.... not to mention putting in pure scrubs and leaving the viable starters out of the lineup... I don't even care about FA's, as a rebuilding team may not want to spend the money... but do well and field an appropriate team from what you have....
Hell.. this is only a tiny fraction away from just having nobody on the ML roster at all...
Houston and Cincinnati are doing a good job of fielding no one.
Commish can fix the issue. He should put the lineup in himself. To be 0-28 is a ****ing joke. The New Jersey Nets look better. :P
Yes, but he didn't get too much more than other teams. STL is back on top and the O'Connor signing has contributed to STL's success. NYY is not the only team that benefited from the steroid enhanced FA pool. (I won't do it again...)
FA pools are never created for one GMs positional holes. :p:
