Thread: All-time fictional player team

Strike 3 Sim League All-time fictional player team

The Galeana thread got me thinking...what is the best team we can field, using only comp-generated players, all-time? Current studs need not apply, I'm more thinking of "nostalgia."

Obviously Azevedo at SS, Galeana at 2B, I'm also thinking Kotter at DH, Michel of Anaheim at 1st, Morabito in RF, and (daresay) Vlad the Impaler in left.

Pitcher-wise, McCullough, Belizario, Hage (can't think of more, but 2 more would be nice), and JMJR at closer...Sailer could be a MRer, methinks, cause of the massive amounts of saves he's gotten. Who else? Lamas should be in the pen somewhere, prolly SU.

    Donald Degroat in the rotation.

    Rickie Weeks2b
    Tom Loose CF
Frank Collum C/3b (although he never really had an MVP type season)

Joseph Akridge MR (below average starter, made a very solid career in the pen)
Move Morabito to LF and put Lizardo in RF.

    Re: All-time fictional player team

C: Belcher or Huber, at least until Fortuna retires, then it's Fortuna

1B: Michel or Kotter, I think Michel with the slight nod as his stats will be better across the board, he's only 34

2B: Weeks, stolen bases aside, I think he had the more impressive career and played 17 seasons without Mission changing the engine up. Galeana and Chad Miller are up there as well.

SS: Azevedo is a no brainer, outside chance to finish career with 900 homeruns

3B: Justin Todd? Adrian Marceau? Honestly, let's slide Miller or Galeana to 3B.

OF: Morabito - Ulyanov - Etsuya
There's probably better options, statistically, than Etsuya but 2019 to 2028, he was elite, he just lacked the longevity and he's already dead.

    SPs:
Mikey McCullough, Wayne Hage, Donald Degroat, Alan Peppers, Felipe Benitez... also worth mentioning Countryman, Crespo, Couch.. if Peppers was on a good team, I think he'd have 200 wins. I should say, if Atlanta had a good GM. Hyuk.

    MRs:
    Jason Michaels Jr.
    Jeffrey Tackitt
    Damon May
    William Sailer
    Francisco Reyes
    Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
    Ted

Felipe Benitez should be on that team, should get 250+ wins and has over 3200 K's, yes I'm a lobbyist

move Galeana to 3B if you had too i just want him on the team

Chad Miller, a stud I let go

Actually, he's the 2B, Miller can play 3B. I wasn't even thinking, Weeks is real. If only he was that good in real life..

Melvin Daigneault - He's only 30 but as a MR he could make the list possibly down the road.

237 SVs at 30 only because he gave 3 years as a super setup guy to Delossantos.

Career ERA is 2.77 (lower than JMJr, Sailer, Montalto, May, and Reyes.)
    Career WHIP is 1.11

Yep... Huber has not panned out for KC as he did in our league... I believe he is still a possible developing 1B/DH

But Bermejo could be a viable candidate for fictitious catcher

    Re: All-time fictional player team

Does that mean Belcher is real?

I guess for catcher, Slyder's guy is an option. Fortuna I think is still tops. Tim Lachance was good, but he played several positions.
