Giving an extension to John Smith. Toronto beating me out on Ruperto Paiva, probably my favorite random player not on my team. Trading prospects to mission, cause they would always die immediately so he murdered Chris Weight with a blunt pick axe. I miss Romero, mostly his bat though.

I basically gave you your entire core right as you were stepping in...

And then I gave you Andrew Ankney too.

(this was aimed at browntown's comments on the Rybicki deal.. .too lazy to quote it now, but I thought my post fell after his)

Chad Miller was my biggest mistake that i remember

Traded from Toronto to Colorado on 7/1/2013 (Going to Col: P Alan Eaves, 2B Chad Miller, 3B Alfonso Agosto. Going to Tor: CF Denard Span)...

Span helped me to get to the WS in 2015 but i lost big time

as for Rene Reyes, in 2011
    AL Most Valuable Player Award:
    Rene Reyes (Tor)!
He batted .319 in 583 AB, with 44 homers and 130 RBI.
then General traded for him next season

I'm pretty sure Bemudez was not that great at the time but I could be wrong. That is when my team started sucking also. That was a big mistake but made me realize not to be a putz. Then I got caught up with school and such, but hope to be back now.

He gained a point to his contact talent, but that's about all. I only gave an old Matsusuke and that 2B from Florida, who was also old. And then Matsusuke wound up on STL shortly after before coming back to me.

I say win win for.. well, STL and myself =D

Got some good players for him...but...

Nobuyori "Dynamite" Matsusuke, Rightfield....was the #1 overall pick. Immediately lost his talent. Held onto him for 2 years and he never regained it...until I traded him of course.

For 3 months of him. Also, I traded for Span....twice.

#6 Jeffrey Hetrick, Starting Pitcher, 29 yrs, Florida Marlins - Out of the Park Baseball Report

Traded from Arizona to Florida on 7/17/2024 (Going to Ari: P Pedro Batista, C Carl Holmes, P Clifton Hymes. Going to Fla: C Tim Lachance, P Jeffrey Hetrick)

Batista has been a solid pitcher before this season. Holmes is a steady catcher and durable. But Hetrick went to 10-10-10 after the deal. Ouch.

    TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)

Best player I've acquired in a trade, I think...

    actually wait:

#14 Luis Reyes, Third Base, 28 yrs, Oakland Athletics - Out of the Park Baseball Report
He's lead the AL in hits 3 straight seasons since I acquired him, but I remember paying a pretty high price to bring him in... dunno how much the guy I sent albbla's way has developed though.

You're still really good on Reyes actually, Provenzano is 25 and only a backup right now. Still has a high ceiling though, so he might be good in 2-3 seasons

For Porter, even though Uppercut was serviceable, however...

(Going to SD: 1B Joseph Orsini, CF Felipe Suarez, P Pablo Montano, RF Javier Herrera. Going to Ari: P Lance Uppercut)...

And then, (Going to Pit: P Lance Uppercut, P Patrick Delossantos, P Michael Bukowski. Going to Ari: P Raymond Johnson, P Samuel Cascio, P Brent Reynolds, RF
    Patrick Burch)...
