    Re: 2029 Predicitions

I like my squad. I didn't resign any of the staples in my lineup from lastyr, but when you finish 3rd changes need to be made. 200+ walks in Orvis & Lawrence Hicks left us. But I figure I can find similar players in the scrap round, as this class seems really packed. Hell, Orvis was a scrap signing and he still walked 100 times for me and had a +800 OPS... not bad.

With a offensive core featuring leadoff man 3B/2B Luis Reyes (Has hit .340+ past two seasons in Oakland), 1B Daniel Mitchell (just 24 with 875 career hits, & a .314 BA... Sean Casey lite, and taking over 1B full-time next year after Hicks' departure) OF Loren Moyer (all-star the past 3 yrs), 2B/3B Ryan Setser (coming off a career year, and has had 100 RBIs 5 out of 6 full seasons-- only missing the 6th by 7 RBIs), and then OF Brandon McBride and possibly C Lou Averill if he ever shows some promise.... I have a solid backbone there. One nice FA acquisition, probably at SS where I'm dreadful, and I'd feel confident going into next year.

    As for pitching...

Hudson, Wallace, Smathers, Alonso, & Cresswell should be nice and brings back everyone from last season.. and give me a R-L-R-L-R combo.
Barragan & Butera are nice alternatives to have and can pitch in relief, and Castleman is a great closer, but other than that my bullpen is cowshit

I think if I can get lucky in FA and add a few pen arms... and maybe an offensive player or two, I could compete with TEX & ANA (assuming ANA is still good like usual). But I don't think I'll win the division.. wild card if I get lucky.

Cleveland has a few holes to fill, before they are one of the contenders. Luckily, I have money to spend.....so, we'll see what happens.

well since john pack declined again for no reason at all... which by the way, ilove how he was a filled out 8 contact with 8 contact talent, then took the decline and inexplicably automatically went down to 6 contact with his talent... ill becompeting for the number 1 pick again. hoo haa.

How long did it take for you to copy and paste last year's playoffs, Porty?

I'm not making the WS again, that was a fluke.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
