Sweet Jesus..... John Magner carried the Indians to the Wild Card with a late September hitting spree. My team had been bailing water ever since the All-Star break. I like the fact that I am at least in the playoffs with a chance to defend the WS title. Now, I just need some magic from my pitching staff, or I need to win every game 20-19.

Im glad the playoffs isnt a Home Run Derby or else I'd be screwed. Balt, Tex, and Cleveland were top 3 in HRs for the season, not to mention every team in the NL side were also top 10. That was the one category I sucked in. Think my team would be considered "Small ball" team of the playoffs?

Philly and a -11 pyth record make for hope for next season. Is the Philly bullpen that bad? Definitely will consider FA, but have limited finances.

Before I came back, STL was 6th (last place in the NL Central).

First year back, we won the Wild Card and got eliminated in the Divisional Round.

Second year back, we won the Wild Card and got eliminated in the LCS.

All I can hope for is continued progress. But we'll see.

Good season all. Can't wait for the next one.

It's great to have you back Haf, especially for a team like the Cards that had really fallen on hard times. You've done a great job with both developing your young talent but also utilizing veteran players and smart pickups on the cheap to build strong teams without sacrificing your future.

I am immensely looking forward to the first World Series in Texas Rangers history. It's probably safe to say I am happier with my accomplishments with this team this season than any other sim league team...to finally get this team to the postseason and to either the top of the AL, or baseball depending on what happens, is pretty damn sweet.
