The #2 pick is miles from the #20 pick.

Which is why he should have left any kind of list or indication of who he wanted. He didn't, and now he thinks he's entitled to a stud prospect. I hope mission only gives him something befitting a mid-1st rounder at the best.

His arm was increased from 3 to 9, range from 7 to 9 and contact talent from 7 to 8. He definitely is not a #2 pick still, but he is a good defensive catcher who could hold his own with the bat.

but that still doesn't solve the problem of where the line gets drawn between who gets the talent bump in a draft pick and who doesn't...and the justification for why the line is drawn where it is...

The league made the call this year and if other first round picks were shoddy like that, I would have afforded the same opportunity for a league vote. A disclaimer would be in place next year so everyone should know better and take the time to find someone to pick for them or to simply show up to the draft.
