From 61 to 95 wins. Normally that's an achievement, but I've done that before, so it's pretty ordinary. But making the world series in an even year, holy crap. I didn't really expect to even win the division, let alone make it that far.

Starters:
C: Isidoro "Freak Show" Romero, 8-7-6-9-4
1B: Tim "Groove Thing" Lachance, 9-7-9-9-9
2B: Isidoro "Mofo's Bane" Alfaro, 7-10-5-7-6
SS: Javier "The Mustache" Barbosa, 8-10-10-9-8
3B: Chris "The Master Piece" McMaster, 8-7-8-4-8
RF: Bill "Takashi" Sato, 7-7-10-4-7
CF: Jose "The Beast" Bemudez, 6-9-10-7-7
LF: Jesse "Spano" Beier, 7-6-9-6-7
I expect this to be an even better offense than last year as I feel Sato brings a better bat to the lineup, plus he can steal bases like most of my team can. If Beier has a repeat performance of last year, he'll be the best #7 hitter ever. Time to see what the Mustache can do at SS, perhaps a little Alex Rodriguez action?

Four man rotation since I wasn't able to buy any relievers this year.

As soon as something crops up, I'll put Savs or Sanor in the rotation unless I get a SP. Maybe Dave-O should deal me one of his glorified relievers!



We'll see how the division plays out, fortunately Houston didn't help their pen either. Neither did Milwaukee. Chicago did get a reliever. Cincinnati did what any team in dire need of pitching would do.. sign another catcher. And St. Louis bought a new team. Is this the year where the inevitable Florida-Pittsburgh rematch happens?

Let's put it like this.. he has some really old players that are on the down side of their career, his starting pitching has been amazingly lucky considering their level of talent and they do not have a deep pen. Sure that's a winnable division when Colorado is in year 20 of rebuild mode and none of the other 3 GMs have paid attention since 'Nam. It'll probably be a down year for him if he doesn't at least compete for the division crown. But he could easily have a bad year and be planning on what to draft next year.
