2025 Pittsburgh -Sit Back and Watch-

The only thing going for me is that it is an odd year and, well, 2019, 2021, 2023... were all mine baby. After you've won it, you don't care about taking chances (i.e. moving almost everyone out of position, starting 3 catchers and maybe 3 1Bs, starting 5 endurance relievers in the rotation [disclaimer: DiamondDave still believes 5 endurance = starting pitching, but don't tell him. He'll take the news bad like he took Alf being a puppet bad]. And our division blows.

    Hitters
    C: Hugh Como, 8-10-7-7-7 (10 range, 10 arm)
    1B: Ryan Carroll, 8-8-8-9-7 (8 range)
2B: Christopher Weight, 6-10-9-5-5 (he did die, but still racked up 268 rbis in two seasons)
    3B: Tim LaChance, 9-7-9-10-8 (I just didn't feel like offering 22mill for 6years)
SS: Chris McMaster, 8-7-7-3-7 (another soul Mission swiped from me)
RF: Lawrence Hicks, 9-9-5-10-6 (his 1B range was a 1, I AM truly excited about this move)
CF: Robert Gully, 5-10-3-7-6 (he starts because I want him in the top 20 career board for steals)
LF: Izzy Romero, 8-7-6-9-4 (my .300 plus hitting catcher.. gets bumped out to the outfield. Craig Biggio II?)

    Benchers
1B/OF Fred Luera, 7-8-6-10-5 (mofo is bound to cave in and trade for his old underachiever)
    1B/OF Nathaniel Puccio, 7-8-7-5-8
C John Jones, 5-8-6-10-7 (four C's on the roster? Tony La Russa would love it)
    2B Kerry Wood Jr., 5-7-6-8-6
    2B Stephen Wicks, 7-8-2-8-6
    OF Cedric Marguez, 8-8-4-3-6
OF Jose Bemudez, 5-7-10-6-6 (9 speed, only 20, still a prospect technically)
[Eventually I'll figure out which couple are on the bench]

    "Starting" Pitchers
    Alberto Alonso, 6-9-10
    Keith Easley, 7-6-9
Dennis Matthews, 7-5-8 (decided to return after last season's visit was short) vs. Joey Chavarria, 8-4-8 (it comes down to two crappy pitchers, one only have 2 pitches and the other having a low groundball %. In the end, they both reek)
Felix Allie, 4-9-8 (my boy that hafdawg ruined)
    Juvel Barragan, 8-9-4

    Pen
    whoever loses the Matthews/Chavarria crap-battle
    Tim Paladino, 6-8-7
    Andres Paredes, 9-7-4
    John Davis, 9-8-4
    Anthony Munoz, 10-5-8
    Jimmy Miesner, 7-9-10, sets up
    Phil Pitre, 10-7-7, closer

Might hit, have good depth there. Pen will have its moments again. Rotation, lol. Yeah, lol, that's it. Lol. Division blows. Milwaukee is good, loaded with bats and decent enough pitching. Rumor has it, it's a hoax that Chicago has a GM. Cincinnati is the same as they were 15 seasons ago. St. Louis randomly pops up and does well, then hides again, so who knows. Houston has three ultra-good bats, and prolly 3-4 more ulta-good prospect bats. They have ultra-nothing pitching wise.

So with that, I can win 70 ish, prolly finish anywhere between 4th to 2nd in this division. Well, actually, 6th to 2nd, cause 2-6 all suck so if Milwaukee fails to reach 100 wins again or don't win the division at least, I'm saying they suck too.

With everyone wanting a SP or spending 20 mill on SPs in a tough SP market, yeah, might as well.

Gehring, McCarville and Richardson look better on my team than Dapena.

it's a race to the bottom in the NL Central. I'm a shoot somebody if the brew crew can't take down these pukes.

p.s. great free agency period zito. filled out the roster at low cost. might put you in contention for the wildcard being that the division is so weak.

You need a crafty veteran who has a track record of being above average to good. Plus the young guys arent going to be cheap in terms of prospects required.

    I really don't need a crappy veteran who's making over 5 million till 2027.
