I'm disappointed in my 6-7 sim, but as expected, the Nationals have their first every 100 win season. My pick for breakout player of the year is Mike Dehner. After 5 years of mostly all RHP action and never batting higher than .259, he hit .292, tied his career high with 21 homeruns, and had his first 100 run scored season. Pedro Azicri and Gonzalo Rodriguez finished the season with a combined record of 45-11. Rookie William England came up huge in the closer role notching 18 saves with a 1.94 ERA. Edwin Encarnacion finishes the year 113 hits short of 3000 for his career.
I really did not want to face the Pirates though. They seem to have a much better offense and a slightly better pitching staff, so unless I get lucky, I predict another early exit from the playoffs.
