    2018 Minnesota Twins

Another disappointing season came to the end at the hands of Anaheim, also with that came great change in the roster. Gone are most of the older players that were the cornerstone of the World Series team. The rise of the youth has begun in Minnesota.

    Defensive setup:
C- Paul Moseley: He comes into the starter position because I want to rest Collum, There is still room for improvement here but Moseley will likely be on the roster in some form.
1b- Milo Kotter: Coming off of a 40+ HR season and top 10 of ops. His patience is also a big contributor to getting on ahead of Mr. MVP.
2b- Ralph Lubin: Coming off a career year with the bat, would love to see even 2016 type numbers where he won the GG.
ss- Monty Jackson: The AL ROY returns to a lineup that he helped lead to 994 runs scored last year. I expect big things out of him with both the glove and bat.
3b- Robert Valido: Reigning GG and all star at 3b for the AL. He hit over 300 yet again last season.
RF- Kevin Cortez: Started off hot but cooled to a respectable .282 with 7 HRs and 71 RBIs and 74 RS.
CF- Alex "Mr. MVP" Morabito: Reigning AL MVP carried this offense early last season and probably will have to do the same with Weeks packing for the west coast.
LF- Josh Anderson: One of the few remaining original Twins continues to do whatever i need. Resigned at almost 2 mil less per year and returns to LF where he looks to try and repeat the .291 batting average.
DH- Frank Collum: Was injured last year and lost some bat speed, so I am going to try and let him be everyday DH to save him for the playoffs. Still got all the power and patience in the world.

Rotation: This is where my season will be decided. None of my "top 5" are over 29 and most have had some success at MLB level. Whether some are pre 2017 or 2017 form will go a long way to determine my fate.

    1. Donald Degroat- Mr. Dependable gets the call opening day.
    2. Melvin Polson- the big acquisition at the deadline gets the #2 slot over a more talented Ramon Dapena.
    3. Ramon Dapena- If he ever lives up to his talent he would be elivated at least to #2 but he is coming off of a season where his era was over 5.
    4. Harry "Mr. No No" Avila- Had be stellar for me until last year, he looks to rebound after a really bad 2017.
    5. Steven Carpenter/Joey Chavarria- I hope the old man can regain pre 2017 form if he cant Chavarria will b in the rotation faster than anticipated.

Closer: Omar Egozcue- Came home with Polson and was stellar in the role for me. Returns to try and show why I reacquired him over other big time closers that were on the market last year.
Setup: John Harris- He might have kicked the Feast or Famine monicker as he was one of the top setupmen in baseball the past couple seasons.
Joey Chavarria- If Carpenter can hold down the fort in the rotation Chavarria will begin to step his way into the "heir" role for closer.
    Middle Relief:
Dave Vera and Elder Fons- Both had disasterous 2017 seasons that they wish they could forget, now they get a chance to return with a fresh start in 2018.
Willie Farias- Finally showed some semblance of consistancy in 2017.
Anthony Thornton- Lefty specialist in my pen.

Bench is still up in the air depending on if i am able to make a couple minor deals to balance it.

    Opinions, Predictions, Thoughts are welcomed.
HollywoodLeo: You and Kingdom always annoy me
"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

    RIP S3SL Minnesota Twins.

    RIP HSL Anaheim Angels

you'll still be one of the more dangerous teams in the Al, slyder... maybe 1 or 2 key mid season acquisitions will put you back in the WS or deep in the playoffs
