    2015 Texas Rangers

Catcher: James Johnson, Tony Sanchez - Johnson will again be the starter this year. While he's not a top flight catcher, he will get the job done.

1B: Ryan Howard - Yeah, he's 35 years old, but he's better than the my starter at first last year, so that could be considered an upgrade.

2B: Gregory Hannum - One word... STUD. Enough said.

3B: George Kleist - Again, not the best 3B, but will get the job done.

SS: Enrique Cruz, Robert Wexler, Matt Moses - Cruz will get the nod. He came over in a deadline deal from Pittsburgh and provided a legitimate leadoff hitter to a team lacking a leadoff guy.

LF: Kevin Clanton - The other stud of the lineup. Puts up big HR numbers and drives a lot of runs in.

CF: Anthony Webster, Lucio Pina - Webster will start. He's not great in the contact department (based on the fact that he has not hit above the Mendoza Line since he's been the starter), but he does hit his fair share of homers.

RF: Jeff Francouer - While not great, he was better than last year's RF. Texas hopes he can put up some productive numbers.

SP: Ronald Belizario, Mateo Miramontes, Brandon Lauer, Kurt Ainsworth, Matt Belisle - This is the strength of Texas. No starter is below 4 stars. Belisle is the weakest of the 5 and will probably be the weak link in the rotation.

MR: James Renn, Cliff Bartosh, Ned Cid, Seung Song, James Phillips - Texas hopes that their starters can go the distance or at least get to the 8th, because this bullpen sucks. Look for Texas to upgrade the bullpen at some point.

Setup: Nick Masset - By far one of, if not the best, reliever in the bullpen.

Closer: Pedro Orozco - Has increased his save totals each year. At 30, he will have productive years to come.

    Prediction: 2nd in the West.

You should have a good enough team in make a slight run for the divison but 2nd is about right. Nice to see Clanton get playing time.
