Do sims cause you to like a player in real life?

I mean, whether it's this sim or another one, where you have a player who's done very well for you and it's rubbed off, you find yourself kinda cheering for him in real life?

For example, I would cheer for Carmen Cali if he ever stayed in the big leagues

Not at the moment, seeing as everyone's not-real in the league at this point, heh.

In short, yes. When I was working my job in the Fishercat's Stadium, I waited anxiously for the Reading Phillies, just to see guys who were scrubs who were on my AA team.

not at all, since I always tried to get the players I liked before I joined (ex. Halladay but always failing to do so)

while my team does have some real players left (Dustin McGowan, Brad Nelson, Denard Span, Wes Bankston, Paul Maholm and some others). McGowan is the exception here since I knew of him and liked him before I joined but now I don't cared for the others.

When I was the GM of the Devil Rays, I started to follow Pete LaForest.

Because of the name? Or was he talented, at the time?

Because he was my starting catcher at the time.

Now, if there were really a player named Numbers Dick, I'd keep track of his career because his name is hilarious.

I don't really cheer for anybody because he was in OOTP but if I hadn't been the Dodgers in a 2004 league where Antonio Perez was my star shortstop, I wouldn't even notice him in real life. Same goes for several other guys who were Dodgers at the time.

I love Erick Aybar for his spectacular bench play in SBSL, and I'm also a huge fan of Jesse Foppert and Vince Sinisi.
