How will Chris Carpenter explain this to his son!

I'm sure LaRussa's secret stash is under double secret undercover right now to keep news from getting even worse!

Christopher Correa, former St. Louis Cardinals executive, pleads guilty to hacking Houston Astros database

I don't know what's worse: the "I was just hacking to see if Luhnow stole our model" excuse now that we learned he hacked in on draft day and trade deadline day, or the fact the Cardinals have been awarded extra draft picks as part of MLB's competitive balance system.

The password of a high-ranking Astros executive that Chris Correa used to access Astros’ systems was based on the name of a player “who was scrawny and who would not have been thought of to succeed in the major leagues, but through effort and determination he succeeded anyway,” assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Chu said on Jan. 8 when Correa pleaded guilty to hacking the Astros in federal court.

That's awesome that even U.S. Attorneys are buying the "Eckstein didn't have talent" narrative.

Well, I'll be damned. Dare I say Correa's excuse, "I hacked them to make sure they weren't hacking us"...now seems PLAUSIBLE?

Jomboy's video breakdown of all of this is pretty fascinating. I will find a link.

MLB won't strip the Astros of their title, but it would be awesome if team VACATED added the 2017 World Series to its 2013 NCAA Men's Division 1 basketball championship and 2004 Division 1-A football title.

Is this the video you are referring to?
"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
