    Blue Jays Rasmus-Jackson deal completed.

And..hey, who wants to trade for Jackson now? Anyone?

St. Louis Cardinals trade Colby Rasmus to Toronto Blue Jays in multi-player trade, sources say - ESPN

The Cardinals also are sending pitchers Trever Miller, Brian Tallet and P.J. Walters to Toronto for pitchers Marc Rzepczynski and Octavio Dotel and outfielder Corey Patterson, sources told Olney.

Miller is being sent to the White Sox. So, a basically, a clunky 3 team trade.

Mark please buy a few more vowels has been pretty solid this season is only 25. Kinda an underrated pick up in this deal.

Rasmus is still young and has lot's of room for improvement. The Cards don't make trades like these often.

Hey, if someone made this deal for BJ Upton, it would be great for them too. The Cards would rather be described as a scrappy team than a winning team.

Overall, happy with this move. Yeah there is some talent leaving, but remember this...

    Corey Patterson - useless
Octavio Dotel - Octavio F*ckin Dotel (There's some story that came out this year about Ji Leyland yelling this upon the Jays first visit in Detroit. Leyland than went to give him a hug.)

Marc Rzepczynski is the only "Jays" piece that has any value, and that's if he is starting. As a bullpen LHP, you can do a lot better.

His stats suggest you really can't do much better as a LHP.

    Per Buster Olney:
Marc Rzepczynski this year vs. lefties .159 batting average, and a .203 slugging percentage. He would help St. Louis 'pen

HAHAHAHAHA This one tops trading Ludwick to SD for Westbrook. This is stupidity to the Nth degree by the Cards. All or nothing for them now. If I am Walt I am on the phone with Toronto seeing if theyd take more spects for Rasmus just to give the Cards another reason to cry about us.

Who exactly would be crying about the Reds right now? The cubs? The astros?

Look up articles about the Cards anytime they come to Cincy. They're always a fountain of tears and tantrums that would make my niece proud.

Cards screwed the pooch on this one. The only thing that could save it is if the PTBNL are good. The Cards gave up their future at CF for players that can only help in the short term. Dave Duncan better work some magic with Jackson and Dotel. Cards still have a chance to win the Central but they should have gotten better for Rasmus.
