    Cardinals Joe Thurston

    After ten seasons in the minors Joe finally got his big break making his first team out of spring training and he hasn't disappointed. As of right now, he has eight RBI and hitting .324. He is a balls to the wall player and a reminder of how the game is supposed to be played. You can just see the hunger and fight in this guy. Joe sprints to first after a walk reminiscent of Pete Rose. He has filled a huge void for the Cards as utility IFer and OFer. I like this guy's style and hope he keeps it up!

    Thurston came up big last night with two run double to help beat the Cubs 4-3. That's 10 RBI for him and a .308 BA.
