I hope the Cards get runs off of him, as Perez looked great against the Braves on opening day.

They did it! The Cards beat the Nationals 5-4. Rick Ankiel got things started early with a 2 run home run. Braden Looper gets the win and Perez gets the loss.

The Cards are 5-1 and have only given up 13 runs in 6 games.

Your Cardinals are off to a nice start this season. They are pitching lights out right now. Good luck to you guys in '08.

Yep, but they still can't get ahead of the Brewers. lol Who would have thought a rotation of Wainwright, Lohse, Thompson, Looper, and Wellemeyer would be doing so well. Pineiro should be back in a week or two as well.

You have a good manager and pitching coach. They seem to thrive on pitching porjects that no other team would attempt to take on. Hats off to LaRussa and Duncan.

Yeah....Duncan has a way with turning below average pitchers into quality pitchers. As long as they are willing to listen to him, he can work wonders. You have the head cases like Marquis and Tomko that nobody can help, but he is great with projects like Weaver and Lohse.
