    Carpenter's First Time

    Not that first time pervert!

Chris Carpenter threw off a mound on Tuesday for the first time since he underwent Tommy John elbow reconstruction surgery last July.
"It was good," Carpenter said. "It was fun. I think I made 20 pitches. I got the ball going down real good. It came out nice. Everything was good." Carpenter hopes to rejoin the Cardinals' rotation right around the All-Star break.
While Carpenter hopes to get back around the All Star break, the Cards need him back sooner. This is very encouraging and hopefully no setbacks for Carpenter. When this guy is on, he's a top five pitcher. Cards don't need to do anything stupid like sign a Lohse.

you are on a roll tonight reefer. Cards should not rush him back either. He is too important to their club. Maybe they can play for 2009, and gather some players that will help them out for then.
