was called up to the big club today and his first HR of the season tonight as thanks.

I am proud to say that on this website about two years ago when he first went to the minors to be a OFer, I was the only one that said he could do it. I was at his MLB debut with the Cards in '00 while attending college an hour south of St. Louis. The kid had such a great swing and he doubled off the wall in that game. I really hope he can stick with the club.

Mission, if you can find the old Rick Ankiel thread in the smakc forum that would be great.

What an amazing accomplishment! I have been rooting for Ankiel the whole way and he has overcome tremendous odds...he hit an unbelievable pitch out too.

I am watching as a Brewer fan, trust me. Big week coming up for the Brewers/Cubs/Cardinals. The Cardinals start the week with 3 vs. Brewers and 3 vs. Cubs over the weekend.
