    Cardinals Mulder's Out!

Mark Mulder is considering undergoing season-ending arthroscopic surgery on his left shoulder.
An MRI Wednesday reportedly revealed no tear, but Mulder has fraying around the labrum that apparently is preventing him from using the proper arm angle when throwing. He'll get a second opinion before deciding on surgery. If he elects to keep pitching, he's unlikely to help the Cardinals or fantasy teams.
This doesn't hurt the Cards because its when he does pitch that it hurts. Cards have til midnight tonight to try and get a pitcher. David Wells' name has been thron out.

I don't know what would be worse, running Mulder out there with a bum wing or acquiring Fatty Wells.

What's the real reason for Mulder sucking?
    (A) He has been pitching hurt.
    (B) He was never that good to begin with.
    (C) Pitching in the National League is tougher than in the American League.
    (D) All of the above.

The answer is A because he was good to begin with and pitching in the NL is a easier.

Yeah, its just a bad year for him and I think it all has to do with his health. Or lack their of these days. Hopefully he can turn it back around for next season. At least for the Cards sake.

Mulder is a FA and I doubt the Cards will be retaining his services. They will be big players in the Barry Zito sweepstakes. Imagine Carpenter and Zito heading that rotation.

I forgot about his FA. But yeah Zito and Carpenter would be sick. I am alomost hating the sound of it already.
